“If Elon Musk is wrong about artificial intelligence and we regulate it who cares. If he is right about AI and we don’t regulate it we will all care.”  Is it better to regulate artificial intelligence so we don’t need to worry about it?  Or should we not regulate it and see what happens?  The top minds seem to differ on this subject.  Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba doesn’t seem to believe artificial intelligence is a threat to the human race.  Elon Musk has a completely different opinion and believes AI could cause World War III.

  • “I thought Satya Nadella from Microsoft said it best: ‘When it comes to AI, we shouldn’t be thinking about autopilot. You need to have copilots. ‘ So who’s going to be watching this activity and making sure that it’s done correctly?” ~Maria Cantwell, US Senator
  • “Unfortunately robots capable of manufacturing robots do not exist. That would be the philosopher’s stone, the squaring of the circle.” ~Ernst Jünger
  • “Artificial intelligence will reach human levels by around 2029. Follow that out further to, say, 2045, we will have multiplied the intelligence, the human biological machine intelligence of our civilization a billion-fold.”  ~Ray Kurzweil
